Defaults like an email alert on any login were a bit overkill on clutter for us as well, but we could turn this off in the app settings. iPhone Autofill never worked for us, which poses an extra hurdle in logging in to the app. On iPhone 12, we were able to view 4-5 games on one screen in FanDuel, but only 3 for Pointsbet. The Pointsbet app looks great, but the layout means fewer games display on your phone screen without having to scroll down. There is a workaround is using the “start parlay” prompt, but that isn’t obvious or by default. Our biggest point of friction with PointsBet’s app is that you are only able to place one bet at a time, rather than submitting many at once via the bet slip. Broader availability to bet in what language is most comfortable is a nice feature. PointsBet was one of the few sportsbooks we’ve seen make an effort to offer users an immediate language change over to Espanol that happens with the flip of a switch. The ‘Quick Parlay’ feature allows users to parlay or take on single bets in a quick fashion with the day’s available games in a grid. PointsBet app is not only hyper-responsive with load times, but they’ve also made an effort to surface quick actions for a bettor on the go. Overall, the app feels expensive and high-end. The bet slip is intuitive to navigate between bets of different statuses (e.g., upcoming, in progress, and recently settled). Lag was never an issue in our testing and it’s a rapid process to find what you’re looking for. The PointsBet brand translates to a 100% ‘night mode’ styling, creating a vibrant, easy-to-read, and less straining app engagement experience. The desktop site can also get a little cluttered with pictures and promotions, but overall it's a positive experience. Things are smartly organized once there, but those markets can be difficult to find when you first start using their website. Instead, you have to go to "All comps" on the top right, where you can then use dropdown navigation to find those smaller markets and futures. For example, if you navigate to the "basketball" section looking for various NBA futures markets, those are not listed on that main page. PointsBet's current navigation's biggest drawback is that it can be difficult to find secondary markets within sports. The desktop experience at PointsBet is very similar to the app, and it's quite easy to navigate to sports, find promotions and more. Daily odds boosts, promotions and the most popular betting markets are smartly organized on the homepage, making things user-friendly for new and seasoned bettors. All in all, PointsBet's app and site stand out as among the best in the industry. A somewhat new brand in America, PointsBet also has a sportsbook in Australia. Arizona is on hold for the moment due to licensing. The sportsbook launched in Indiana, Illinois and Colorado in 2020, and it also added Michigan and Iowa to its offerings in 2021. PointsBet launched January 2019 in New Jersey following the 2018 Supreme Court ruling that struck down the federal sports betting ban in the U.S. An example PB offer: For specific NBA games, the sportsbook will give bettors bonus bets for every 3-pointer their team makes. PointsBet frequently offers its users reduced-juice bets and +EV daily offers. The T&C specifics are that you get up to $1,500 back on your first "Pointsbetting" wager and up to $521 back on your first traditional bet. PointsBet has an awesome new customer offer: use the sign-up code ACTION2K1and get up to $2021 in risk-free bets after depositing. Sign Up Code for PointsBet Sportsbook - Last Verified November 2021 Use code: ACTION2K1 for $2021 in Risk-Free Bets PointsBet is an industry leader with offers: they regularly offer great weekly or daily bonuses, and they often run creative promotions where you can bet popular sides and totals at reduced or no juice. That's why it's so important to take advantage of +EV (expected value) bets, promotions and sign-up offers. Sports betting can be challenging given the juice (aka vig, essentially a tax that legal sportsbooks collect on winning wagers) taken on every bet.
